About Me.
Life without art is just boring. |
Raised in San Francisco, artist Janet Poor started her life-long love of art by sketching the buildings and parks of her hometown. She immersed herself in learning new techniques and using different media to express her inner mind. Her true love in life is oils on canvas and she has created hundreds of paintings "just because." She loves painting flowers, landscapes and old barns in oils and acrylics.
In the last 18 years, she has also pursued an interest in jewlery making. Janet has a knack for beading and wire wrapping. However, her favorite style of jewelry at the moment is beadweaving and bead embroidery. In addition to her artwork, Janet also has a passion for teaching and has been doing it for the past 15 years. She enjoys helping others learn to express themselves creatively and open up a new world of possibilities to them. Today, Janet still considers herself a life-long student, always willing to try new things. She has never lost her excitement or love of art and continues to experiment with new materials everyday. She has recently discovered a love for clay making and who knows what she will discover tomorrow. |
